This is a case of best mates being miserable together in housemates' hell. Although Rebecca's sitting and Luke's lying they still mirror each other's body language and that's a mark of real friendship. The biggest signal is their facial expressions - both have downtrodden expressions with their mouths shaped into small "o"s of unhappiness and their eyes are lifeless. Their limp body language connects them and their friendship - both feel they can be completely relaxed - and despondent - with each other.
